Vince Russo
Associate Director of Resident Services, Alameda County
Vince provides oversight for several aspects of Abode’s residential services in Alameda County, including managing budgeting, programming, and personnel. His role involves coordinating operations and activities, supporting residents, and strategic planning, ensuring the effectiveness of residential programs and focusing on the well-being of Abode residents. He currently oversees 20 permanent supportive housing sites and two shelters.
He has nearly 20 years of experience at nonprofit agencies, most of which was spent serving in managerial positions. In prior roles at Abode, he has worked as site manager for shelters in Oakland during the pandemic and as a program manager at Santa Clara County permanents supportive housing sites. In those positions, he worked with clinical supervisors and program managers, supervised shelter monitors and housing site staff, managed residential teams, and worked closely with community volunteers. He also coordinated with hotel staffs, clinical and medical services, security companies, and transportation as part of the sites’ daily operations.
Vince holds a Bachelor of Arts in Specialized Studies in Psychology from Ohio University, and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
