Telecommunications Terms of Use

Text Messaging (SMS) Terms
Abode Services offers a text-messaging program for individuals who provide their mobile number and consent to be contacted by text. This section describes how that program works.

Messages we send: If you opt in, Abode Services may send you text messages related to your services with us, such as appointment reminders, case-management and program communications, housing and benefit updates, and document or follow-up reminders. Messages may be conversational or informational depending upon the nature of the communication.

How you opt in—Intake/enrollment paperwork: You opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages on an intake or enrollment form when you begin services with us. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving any service from Abode Services.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and the services you are receiving.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, as determined by your mobile carrier. Abode Services does not charge for text messages.

Opt out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages unless you opt back in.

Help: For help, reply HELP to any message you receive from us, or contact us at 510-657-7409 or email info@abode.org

Privacy: Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties or affiliates, as described in our Privacy Policy above.

Disclaimer: Text messaging is not a guaranteed delivery method. Delays or failures may occur due to carrier availability or other factors outside our control, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
