Impact Report
Read our most recent Annual Impact Report.
It provides statistics, facts, and figures that detail how Abode helped thousands of formerly homeless people in the past year.
The report is from FY 2023.

STUDy results
A UCSF study shows that permanent supportive housing is very successful at helping chronically homeless individuals keep their housing and escape homelessness.
The study tested the efficacy of Project Welcome Home, a permanent supportive housing program provided by Abode in partnership with Santa Clara County.
Researchers found that 86 percent of the program’s participants were successfully rehoused.
Also, on average, participants remained housed for 93 percent of the time they were in the study.
PARTICIPANT statistics
We are dedicated to measuring our progress and reporting those results to our community.
Here are some key statistics that illustrate the real impact we’re having on ending homelessness.

We housed 10,243 individuals.
During the 2023 fiscal year:
We assisted 15,050 people in our programs.
Our housing programs served 6,807 people on a given night, providing safe, stable homes to those who would otherwise be homeless or at severe risk of losing their housing.
We served 480 veterans.
We assisted 3,360 children.
Nearly 2,600 people in our programs exited into permanent housing.
3.3 percent of the adults we served are veterans.
24 percent of those we served are children.
Accreditation Status
In April 2022, Abode received a three-year accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an international agency that accredits health and human services organizations.
This achievement reflects Abode’s commitment, dedication, and passion to providing quality services to our participants, residents, landlords, and community partners.
Preparing for the three-day CARF accreditation visit was a tremendous undertaking that involved seven CARF surveyors digitally visiting 38 Abode locations and interviewing more than 80 Abode staff employees. CARF’s report awarded accreditation status to Abode Services, and extensively detailed Abode’s strengths.
We thank all Abode staff employees for helping us earn this achievement.
