Teresa Trowbridge

Retired Engineer and Environmentalist

Ms. Trowbridge is an environmentalist and retired engineer. She spent almost 40 years in the Semiconductor and Solar Panel Development industries, serving in roles that included Process Engineer, Product Manager and Program Manager. Her career included 15 years at Applied Materials, positions at four renewable energy start-up companies, and a final role as Manufacturing Operations Director at Western Digital. She then held various consulting positions until retiring in 2022.

She has served as a volunteer at Bay Area Furniture Bank’s warehouse since 2024, joining her husband in building around 300 pieces of furniture that has been distributed to people in need who have moved into a new home. Other volunteer work includes distributing food at a pop-up Food Pantry through City Teams and chairing a gift drive for local foster kids with Help One Child (now known as Grafted Families).

Ms. Trowbridge formerly served on the Bay Area Furniture Bank Board of Directors, and has served for eight years as board member of a local church in the role of Finance Chair, helping to manage the church’s annual budget of about $900,000.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from UC Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
