Jennifer Kakatin
Hospice Social Worker
Ms. Kakatin is a hospice social worker with more than 17 years of experience in healthcare and social services. She began her career serving as Director of Social Services in skilled nursing facilities, supporting individuals and families through psychosocial needs and life transitions. Over the years, her work expanded to include hospice, behavioral health, trauma informed care, and substance use counseling. Throughout her career she has remained committed to supporting individuals and families while also helping develop future social work professionals. A particularly fulfilling part of her career has been supervising, training, and mentoring bachelor’s and master’s level social work interns across diverse healthcare and social service settings. Her professional and lived experiences have deepened her appreciation for social work and its ability to create meaningful change in the lives of others.
Ms. Kakatin holds an MSW, an MPA with a concentration in Health Care Administration, an MA in Counseling Psychology, and an M.Ed. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at the University of the Pacific.
