A Time to Remember
Local leaders and community members joined us recently for an outdoor interfaith candlelight vigil that memorialized members of the homeless community we lost last year.
The annual hour-long vigil began at 6 p.m. on Nov. 27 at St. James' Episcopal Church in Fremont. The event was emceed by the Rev. Lori Walton, the Rector of St. James’ Episcopal Church.
Other featured speakers included Louis Chicoine, Abode’s chief executive officer. Abode Board President Tarrah Henrie and Katie Fantin, Abode’s vice president of programs in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Mateo counties, read the names of members of the homeless community who passed away last year.
The church co-hosted this moving ceremony with the Tri-City Interfaith Council and Abode.
