Abode Endorses Prop 5

Election Day is on Nov. 5 – less than a week away – and we urge everyone to vote and make their voices heard.

Voting yes on Prop 5 is a great place to start – which is why Abode’s board of directors unanimously voted to endorse it.

Here’s why we support Prop 5:

It empowers local voters to approve bonds for affordable housing and new public infrastructure like water, roads, transit, and fire stations.

The measure is NOT a tax. It only makes it so that a small minority cannot prevent the will of voters to support affordable housing and public investment in their communities.

In short, Prop 5 gives taxpayers more power. It shifts decisions about major issues and spending priorities away from state government and into the hands of local voters.

We are proud that Abode is one of hundreds of organizations representing seniors, veterans, working families, and small businesses that support this important measure.

Please join us in voting yes on Prop 5.
