Omar Reed
Director of Housing & Services, San Francisco

At Abode Services, Omar is responsible for Abode’s housing programs in the city and county of San Francisco, where he also oversees the implementation, evaluation, and coordination of housing and services. He manages program development, goal setting, and engagement with external stakeholders and ensures that Abode programs in San Francisco are in compliance with funding regulations, program goals, and stakeholder expectations. He builds relationships within San Francisco, aiming to find opportunities to expand Abode’s impact and reach.

Omar has more than 20 years of professional experience, during which he has consistently provided innovative, comprehensive, and compassionate care to help individuals engage as stable and productive members of their community. He possesses more than a decade of experience nonprofit executive leadership and program management, and has an extensive background in board governance, financial performance and viability, agency strategy, and organizational operations.

Omar has a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri, and a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Missouri Western State College.
