Georgette oversees property operations and property budget variance explanations, manages tenant relationships and legal issues, coordinates internal services, monitors utility bills and usage, and approves invoices, billing, and purchases. She also assists in managing external stakeholder relationships, tenant relocation approvals, and tenant grievance matters. She joined Abode in early 2017 and, as property and asset supervisor, she succeeded in increasing our property management portfolio by nearly 300 units, saving Abode money through renovations of existing properties, strengthening vendor relationships, and overseeing the refurbishment and coordination of 11 properties. She also fully met building compliance standards for distressed properties in Abode’s portfolio. Georgette has more than 15 years of hands-on experience in affordable and supportive housing, specializing in properties that serve specific communities, including families, seniors, veterans, and individuals in single-room occupancy (SRO) units. She is very knowledgeable of tax credit regulatory requirements and serves as our internal legal expert for landlord-tenant laws.
Georgette visits job sites and coordinates with work crews to ensure properties are well-designed for our residents. She has extensive experience overseeing contracts with investors and funders, and has spearheaded many property acquisitions, as well as site conversions and renovations.
