Bilal provides oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and the annual audit process, as well as various recurring governmental reporting requirements. He also is responsible for managing the finance department to produce favorable financial outcomes, as well as provide support for other functions that are related to financial activities.

Bilal oversees all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements. He maintains internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program expenditures, and coordinates all audit activity. He also collaborates with program directors to assess the financial efficacy of program operations; oversees all financial, program, and grants accounting; and establishes finance and administrative systems to support program operations. He has 10 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, he worked in private equity, investment banking, and as a software engineer.

Bilal has a Bachelor's degree in software engineering from Karachi University. He earned a Master's degree in finance at the University of Tampa, a Master's degree in statistics from the University of Texas-Austin, and a Master's in business administration degree from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. He also is pursuing a Master's degree in applied economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
