Marilyn Lovelace-Grant
Vice President of Talent and Culture
Marilyn is responsible for Abode's Human Resources Department. She has worked for more than 20 years in the nonprofit sector and brings direct experience in strategic planning, employee relations, communications, change management, public speaking and building alliances. Her rich human resources history includes work with Catholic Charities of the East Bay, where she held the position of Human Resources Director and Deputy Director for eight years. She worked for nine years as Director of Human Resources and Operations with The National Writing Project, an education nonprofit group with more than 200 sites nationwide. Marilyn returned to Catholic Charities in San Francisco for more than two years, where she was the Director of Human Resources and provided leadership to accreditation processes. She also served as Director of Human Resources for the City of Alameda Housing Authority and San Lorenzo Unified School District.
Marilyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from San Francisco State University, and a Master’s degree in public administration from California State University, East Bay.
