Ridge at Ralston will bring 65 new affordable homes to San Mateo County in an 8-story residential community. The development will include 17 permanent supportive housing apartments for people who have experienced homelessness, as well as 35 homes designed for large families. The remaining apartments will be available to households earning between 30% and 70% of the area median income. Residents will have access to shared community spaces, a children’s play area, bike storage and other on-site amenities, with the project also benefiting from its location near the Belmont Caltrain station. Ridge at Ralston has secured significant public investment, including $11 million from San Mateo County and state and federal financing to support the development of the affordable homes. Construction is scheduled for completion in March 2028.
