Empty Bowls

Napa pottery artists create handmade bowls as a gift for attendees so that we can raise awareness about hunger in our community of plenty, and to raise funds to expand food access for people experiencing homelessness. Abode is the primary service provider for people experiencing homelessness in Napa County. Last year, our outreach, shelter and housing support programs assisted more than 1,000 of our most vulnerable neighbors. An important part of our work is tied to breaking down barriers to affordable housing, helping people in need to successfully move into their own home and remain there. Food insecurity is a significant barrier for our participants.
