Coordinated Entry is a countywide system used throughout California to connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness with housing and supportive services. Through a standardized assessment process, Coordinated Entry helps identify each household's needs and prioritizes available housing resources for those with the greatest vulnerability. This is the first step toward accessing housing programs, shelter, and other support services.

Cordele, San Mateo County
As an Army veteran, Cordele knows how to work hard and persevere during adversity. He has leaned on that ethos to survive during good times and bad – but especially after he returned to his Bay Area hometown. There, he learned that local housing prices made it difficult to thrive, putting him on the verge of experiencing homelessness.
Fortunately, he found housing with Abode’s help in San Mateo County. Now that Cordele has the stability of a home, he has started his own nonprofit that he hopes will boost local volunteerism and assist individuals who are struggling. “I would like my organization to help other nonprofit groups assist other people,” he said. “I just really want to help people.”
Eucalyptus Grove Apartments is a symbol of hope, illustrating how affordable housing and services for vulnerable populations form the core of our mission to solve homelessness. This 8-story complex offers 69 units of affordable homes, with 25% of them set aside for formerly homeless veterans. This property was developed by Abode Housing Development while ongoing wraparound services are provided by Abode Services.
